Our Team

We are the Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania area's premier competition team. MCDC has received many accolades and awards through competitions, conventions, and intensives. These include Top Overall Scores, Best Technique Awards, Showmanship Awards, many special Judges awards and thousands of dollars in Scholarships. We are focused on raising strong, talented and marketable dancers – dancers that can grow to be in world renowned ballet companies, perform on Broadway, join the Rockettes, and book jobs in Hollywood. We pride ourselves on being well rounded through high level technique and performance value.

Tiny Team (ages 2.5 - 5)

-Minimum of one group dance, maximum of three dances

-Allowed one solo

-One ballet class per week

-One jazz class per week

-Must rehearse each group dance 30 minutes a week

-3 mandatory competitions

Competition Team (ages 6 and up)

-Minimum of two group dances

-Allowed solo, duo and trio opportunites

-Enrolled in unlimited classes (unless otherwise specified by the director, based on age)

-Must rehearse each group dance 30 minutes a week

-Must go to the four mandatory competitions, plus nationals

-Must participate in one mandatory convention and all team performances

Elite Competition Team (ages 6 and up)

- Minimum of four group dances

- Allowed solo, duo and trio opportunites

- Enrolled in unlimited classes as well as signed up for extra ballet and technique classes

- Must participate in six competitions, plus nationals

- Must participate in at least two conventions, and all group performances
