Miss Morgan

Morgan grew up dancing and competing in various parts of the United States. She has been teaching since the age of 16. She has trained with many choreographers over the years through conventions and master classes, to include those who have flown from LA to choreograph her solos when she was competing. She has received over $5000 in scholarships for intensives, and master classes including an intensive held in Hollywood at the Debbie Reynolds Theater. She has been featured in many performances across the United States, including the pregame and halftime performances at the Orange Bowl and the Outback Bowl. Morgan has been a choreographer of a variety of dances for individual solos, duo/trios and groups. Her specialties include jazz, contemporary, musical theater, acro and hip hop. Morgan has received many choreography awards and judges’ awards at competitions during her career. She was a founding member of a professional performance company, Company 360, in Fredericksburg. She has been the owner/director of the Morgan Crisp Dance Company since June 2019. Under her leadership, her competition teams have won a variety of awards, to include choreography awards, studio of excellence awards, highest scoring studio, and many solo, duo/trio and group awards.

M​iss Cassie

Cassie has been a gymnastic/acro instructor since the age of 15. She has years of experience both in gymnastics and dance. Cassie danced under Morgan throughout high school before stepping up as an instructor. She has attended Joffrey Ballet and Jazz in  New York City. She has performed with the Moscow  Ballet’s Nutcracker, Disney’s Electric Parade, at the New Amsterdam Theater in NYC, and in a halftime show for the Washington Commanders.  Cassie has won many overalls and was a title winner during her dance career. She is now also working as a registered nurse and is completing her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She enjoys working with kids of all ages and strives to be a great mentor with dance/acro and life experiences.

Miss Natalie

Natalie has been dancing at the age of 4 in pre-professional programs, volunteer performance groups and recreationally in Virginia Beach. She received her training at Pivot Dance Center, Twinkle Toes Performing Arts Company, and the gifted dance education program at the Old Donation School. She has training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary with tap being her favorite. She currently attends The University of Mary Washington where she is majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Neuroscience. At UMW she is a member, choreographer, and officer for the Performing Arts Company. In UMW PAC she has been able to continue dancing through college and pursue her passion of choreographing and teaching others. Along with teaching at Morgan Crisp she also works as a Physical Therapy Technician for Mary Washington Care.

Miss Madisyn

Ms. Madisyn has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She started out with Hip Hop and went on to consistently train for the next 8 years. Madisyn has a background of competitive dance for 5 years. She has participated in multiple dance conventions and master classes during her training. Ms. Madisyn is a dental assistant full time and pursues a dance teacher part time. She has always wanted to teach dance and create an uplifting environment for her dancers to learn and grow.

Miss Sydney

Sydney Emmert was born and raised in Apex, North Carolina, and has been dancing since the age of two.  She grew up dancing at the academy for the performing arts, and danced there until she was 16. Sydney was a part of her high school's dance company for three years and the president of her high school's chapter of National Honors Society for Dance Arts her senior year. Sydney began choreographing 6 years ago, and her favorite styles to choreograph are tap and contemporary. She is currently in her junior year,  studying business and data science at the University of Mary Washington.

Miss Audrey

Audrey has been dancing since the age of 3. She began teaching at 16 and has taught various ages ranging from 2-15, in all styles of dance. She continues her dance career at East Carolina University on the dance team. As a member of the dance team she performs at all of the football, basketball, and volleyball games as well as teaches in clinics hosted by the team. As she enters her junior year of college she will be the Nationals captain, in which she will lead the team when they compete in Daytona, FL against other college teams.

Miss Shannon

Shannon has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She grew up doing ballet, pointe, and tap at the Christina Heimlich School of Dance. When Shannon entered High School she joined her high school dance team and a local competition studio, Velocity Dance. There she expanded her skills and trained in jazz, contemporary, pom, and hip hop. Her favorite styles are pom and contemporary, as they both are high intensity styles in different ways that push the dancer outside of their comfort zone. Shannon recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in psychology. At UMW she was co - captain of the dance team until it got shut down due to covid. She also continued dancing by being a member and a choreographer in UMW PAC. There, Shannon was able to continue her love for dance by pushing herself out of her comfort zone as a dancer and a choreographer. She loves teaching classes and choreographing pieces that highlight the dancers and their skills. This fall, Shannon will be continuing her education online by pursuing a Masters in Social Work at VCU.

Miss Gracie

Gracie's love for dance started when she was just 3 years old. At the age of 8 she started training and competing with Terry's School of Dance and Gymnastics in Alexandria, Virginia. Over the years, Gracie has trained in various styles, including but not limited to: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern, cecchetti, and musical theater. Gracie's love for dance brought her opportunities such as teaching her own classes at Terry's School of Dance and Gymnastics, dancing at halftime for the Harlem Globetrotters, going to many national dance competitions, holding various lead roles in the Alexandria Community Nutcracker, being a Co-captain and choreographer of the UMW Dance Team, being a member and choreographing for UMW Performing Arts Company, and being a member of Regality Dance. Currently, Gracie is seeking her Master's of Elementary Education at UMW and can't wait to continue her dance career with MCDC!

Miss Savanna

Savanna has been dancing since she was a little girl. She danced competitively under Morgan for over five years. Throughout her time at Morgan Crisp Dance Company, she assisted classes with other teachers and worked up into teaching her own dance classes including ballet, jazz and lyrical. For studies in dance, she has also attended The Rock School in Philadelphia, American Academy of Ballet in New York and Moscow Summer Intensives here in Virginia.  Currently Savanna is a student at Clemson University in South Carolina studying nursing. She also is part of the Clemson dancers where they just completed their spring recital.  Savanna hopes to keep dancing throughout her remaining years of college!
